Within in seconds of taking to the stage, Russell Brand was off into the audience like a Panther eyeing up its prey. It appeared that large sections of the female audience were transformed into gazelles by Brand’s appearance, resistance to this predatory panther evidently futile.
Funny was in fact an accurate description of the show, laughs were free flowing until the end, as in previous shows even the act of drinking water gave a chortle from a few. On leaving the Apollo, just about the best theatre comedy …
